Wonderful experience and a memorable birthday! Best place for pork sorpotel, pork bafat, sanna, vorn and baath cake. Ofcourse the papplets are delicious and huge!Good drinks too!Loved the family-like feeling with Desmond Sir and his wife (awesome chef) and Braydon.Strongly recommend if you miss Goan and Manglorean food from back home!

My favourite place for Mangalorean/Goan food! Authentic taste at affordable price with a pleasant ambience. Do not miss to try the King fish fry and Mackerel fry, l love it! I also liked the Prawn Mango curry, delicious!!! The people serving us were really sweet and friendly. Much recommended to those who love to try authentic Mangalorean/Goan cuisine.

This is a family run business. We wanted to try some fish curry and we were delighted to have come across this place. I used to live in the neighborhood but never noticed this place. Thanks to Google we found it.The lady was over worked taking care of both the kitchen and front, but still found time to have a brief chat. That is what the customer values. The food was delicious too.Maybe you can consider changing the branding outside so people don't have to rely on just Google to find you :)All the best. Keep up the good work!

The food here tastes average. It’s definitely overpriced for what you get. It’s not authentic Goan food and some of the dishes really lack that Goan flavour. If it didn’t cost as much as it does I would have given it a higher rating but given the price I would say it’s not worth the amount

Having resided in Goa for quite some time, I am quite a connoisseur when it comes to Goan-cooking.After visiting Mango Mirchi for the seventh time, I decided to edit my review to include the following recommendation which I can assure you with confidence that you'll love:If you wish to experience an authentic Goan meal, you must try the Chorizo Chilli (Goan pork sausage) together with an order of Sannas. Both items are traditionally Goan and are best served at this restaurant because they bring back the true taste of home.Over my frequent visits I have had the pleasure of sampling many of their fine offerings and what I can tell you is that you'd think you're in Goa while you're eating. For an appetizer I recommend the Beef Potato Chops or the Fish Croquettes, or better yet, both. For the main dish, besides the above-mentioned Chorizo, you can have a Prawn or Veg Biryani, both are absolutely tasty and well, 'justa like mama used to make'.Or if you are a fish lover you must sample their Mackerel or Golden Pomfret Fry.Have a sweet tooth? They make a delicious Bibinka and Rum cakes. The prices are quite reasonable when you consider that Goan dishes are simply not readily available in the GTA food market as are your Chinese restaurants. Truth be told, I believe that the prices may very well be under-priced and that's because it's a ma & pa (run by Desmond and Irine) restaurant.Try some Goan dishes at the Mango Mirchi the next time you are feeling adventurous and I can assure you will fall in love with Goan-cooking!

Went here a while back, the restaurant was empty and wasn't sure if the food would be good, but wasn't disappointed, the food was excellent. We were searching for a Goan restaurant and this came in the suggestions..when we reached it was a bit confusing since the outside and inside pics of the restaurant are different from what you see in Google reviews..the management should update it since it was the older location.Their fish curry honestly reminded me of Goa even though I have been there just once, but the best dish was the Goat curry hands down! It was probably one of the best goat curry I have ever had.Their prawns and chicken biryani were also good. Totally recommended for people who love fish.

The food at mango mirchi has a amazing touch of home cooked food, every item on the menu is tasty and delicious, authentic Goan and Manglorean Cusine, It is difficult to single out any single dish to say that is the best, because each has its own special flavour and taste. For the past 1 1/2 year they are doing take out and the service they provide is impeccable, don’t miss their Christmas Delicacy, they will be putting them out shortly. Their Kunswar is mind blowing. Desmond and Irine also provide a personal touch with their customers , they are courteous and welcoming, great service.Don’t miss out on their Vindloo and Sorpotel.

Service: 1/5Food: 2/5Ambiance: 3/5I was excited to hear about this restaurant serving Goan/Manglorean cuisine and decided to go there on a weekend afternoon. They had some party going on, so half the restaurant was taken. However, the service was really impacted. With just two servers, the wait times for the food was terrible. Just to get an order of steamed rice, i had to wait almost 15-20 min. Also, the servers should be educated about the kind of fish that will be served in the curry since the menu is quite generic (like fish curry). Regarding the food, I wouldn't classify it as Goan, may be more Manglorean. I tried the King Fish Steak (fry), crab curry and the pompret curry. The curries tasted good but the fish was not fresh. The crab wasnt fresh or meaty either. My overall experience was bad and the wait times really left me frustrated. Would have given it 1 star but added another star for flavour of the curries which was quite different.
